Sofer at The Temple
August 23 & 24
11:00 am

The Temple is the guardian of what used to be the Torah scroll of Jewish Hospital. As you may recall, that sacred Torah scroll was stolen and subsequently found wet and damaged – letters were peeling off, and the plaster covering the Torah scroll to protect it is also damaged.

Thanks to the generosity of the Jewish Heritage Fund, this Torah scroll will be fixed by a Sofer at The Temple, and we invite you to witness that firsthand. You can watch the Torah being fixed in person or live streamed on our YouTube channel or mobile app. The Sofer will be here on Tuesday, August 23, and Wednesday, August 24.
